The One Book, One
Stratford community wide reading event has chosen “Close Encounters of a Third
World Kind” by Jennifer Stewart as their young readers’ selection. Like “Little
Princes” (the One Book title), “Close Encounters” takes place in Nepal and
describes Stewart’s experiences there. The Library will host a Skype chat with
the author on Wednesday, October 10 at 6:30 p.m. and a book discussion on
Thursday, October 18 at 4 p.m. All patrons ages 8 and up are invited to the Skype
chat in the Library’s Lovell Room. To register, please call the Children’s
Department at 203.385.4165 or visit its website at www.stratfordlibrary.org.
